Greetings Good People,
Are you located in the Carolinas and looking for a place to get some volunteer hours? Well, this past weekend I volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, and I had to share their information for those who may be looking to help.
The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies. Serving a total of 19 counties in the Carolinas, 14 in North Carolina and 5 in South Carolina, SHFBM strives to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. They have over 700 partner agencies including Urban Ministries, Loaves and Fishes, Uptown Men’s Shelter, and Center of Hope. And they distribute over 54 million pounds of food and other household items throughout the 19 counties.
If you’re in the area and you’d like to volunteer or donate, check out their official website. You can also stay connected with them on social media via Facebook and Twitter.
Until Next Time…
