Good Morning!!!
I know it’s been a while, but I’m back. I hope you all have been well.
Last night, I attended an amazing event at the Eighty Eights Coffee & Cocktails Music Lounge in Charlotte, NC. Hosted by my big brother, Delvin Joyce, this event was a celebration of YDI: Youth Development Initiatives Inc.

YDI is a youth mentorship organization that helps disadvantaged high school students by engaging them in career and college prep training courses, individual post-high school education plans, and real-world employability skills. Some of the programs offered include YDI Career Academy, YDI Family Life Skills Academy, Trades Training (carpentry, construction, and OSHA certification), Academic Tutoring, Program-based Mentoring, Life Management Guidance Courses, and Youth Workforce Development.
YDI helps build their students by using the CARE training process:
- Career & College Readiness
- Academic Enrichment
- Real-World Learning Applications
- Employability Skills
For additional information on YDI, you can visit their official website. You can also stay connected with them on Facebook and Instagram.

Until Next Time…
