Greetings All,

In previous posts, I’ve highlighted my documentary series, The Queen City Chronicles. Learning the ropes in filmmaking has been the most fulfilling and cathartic experience of my life, and I’m extremely excited about the future.

My current project is a short film series entitled 1/28/23.

Starring Randy Watson Jr., Veneé Porter, and Marcus T. Scott, 1/28/23 is a suspense/drama series that follows Miles (Watson) on a Saturday morning in Charlotte, NC, after an event occurs that changes his life. Many would argue about whether this event was warranted or not. Miles would advise that it was necessary.

Though it was written and directed by me, Broderick Russell Jr., there was a team of phenomenal individuals who helped put this project together. They are as follows:

• Director of Photography – Kelvin Edwards
• Audio Engineer – Andrew Smith
• Editing – Dan Hood
• Music – Howard McNair

This is only part 1 to the series, and more is on the way.
