Words From The Wise: Dr. Llaila Afrika

“When a disease goes so far and we just can’t figure out what’s going on, a nice category to throw it in is called cancer. And the treatment for that has never been proven successful in any situation. If radiation, chemotherapy was successful then a healthy person can take it to be more healthy. If you take chemotherapy and radiation, and you’re healthy, pretty soon you’ll die. If the medicine is so good and it can help a person that’s sick be healthy, why can’t it help a healthier person be healthier?”

– Dr. Llaila Afrika

In a previous post, I discussed the importance of Holistic Health. And since my go-to scholar on the subject has been Dr. Llaila Afrika, it was only right that I share one of his lectures with you all. It’s entitled, Cancer: The Cause and Cure.

According to Dr. Afrika, cancer, “in the Holistic science business, is when the cell is unable to carry at least 50-60% of its oxygen supply.” One of his primary solutions to fighting it is to maintain a proper diet, advising that medicine is food and food is medicine. This lecture was extremely informative yet hard to listen to because it’s personal to me, by way of a very close family member. I’ve seen people within my lifetime struggle with different health issues but still eat food that aids to those problems. But living in this capitalist society has opened my eyes to the fact keeping people sick is a profitable business; affordable fast food restaurants on every corner leads to frequent hospital visits and prescription medications that never cure the diseases, it just band-aid’s them until the next appointment, which will lead to a very hefty paycheck to those in power.

We have to take our health seriously and in our own hands, because no one is going to care about you more than you will. If you’d like to discuss some of the points made in the video, feel free to comment below.

Until Next Time…
