Greetings Everyone,
It’s been a while, and if you missed me, you may have wondered what I’ve been up to.
Well, here’s what:
The documentary is entitled, The Queen City: Brotherhood, Leadership, & Solutions.
I had an opportunity to speak with sixteen powerful Black men throughout Charlotte, NC, who are leaders in their own right, whether it be in their professional careers, community activism, or service. As the city continues to grow, the Black community must strengthen its connection with each other in order to thrive. With a focus on Black men, this documentary offers solutions to the problems facing the Black community and showcases brothers in various sectors, ultimately providing a visual Rolodex for those in the city.
I’m very much a rookie in the writing and directing department, but I learned a lot on this project and worked with some amazing talent here in Charlotte. They are as follows:
- Director of Photography: Ira Dubb
- Videography: Mario Clark Media and Patrick Lebby
The film also features music from some outstanding artists here in the city.
- Ira Dubb & MonB Black Raiderz – Art & Facts
- Christopher “YUNG Citizen” Williams – The Sauce
- Tecoby Hines – Beautiful
I was inspired by the message from all of the brothers in the film, and I hope those within my community are as well.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you’d like to discuss.
It feels good to be back lol.
Until Next Time…
I throughly enjoyed the documentary! Can’t wait to see
your next project! Don’t stop,
keep up the good work!!!
