There’s some interesting news coming out of Jamaica. The following information is from Loop Jamaica.
Friends Jevaughn Whyte and Terrique Goldson partnered with businessman Patrick White to create a pineapple farm in Fontabelle, Trelawny Jamaica. Named “OMG Jamaica Farms,” these three businessmen have seen massive success. Whyte and Goldson didn’t have prior experience in the agricultural industry, but White spent his entire life in the field; four years with the Ministry of Agriculture and over 20 years with the Sugar Industry Research Institute (SIRI).

With pineapples as their primary crop, the farm expands 25 acres. It went from delivering 200 pounds of pineapples a week to 2,500 – 3,000 pounds a week. Their client base has also grown from 50 to roughly 1,500 clients.
