Jamaica initiated a travel ban to and from China, sending back 19 Chinese nationals, to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. The Chinese vacationers who arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) were denied entry and placed in quarantine before being sent back home. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus an international emergency, and the Jamaican government is doing its due diligence in protecting its citizens. So far, the virus has spread to 25 countries worldwide.
