Greetings Folks,
It’s Friday, and I read some good news earlier.
The following information comes from The Verge.
Although the Black Panther franchise will move forward, Chadwick Boseman’s character, King T’Challa (Black Panther), will not be recast. Part 2 will instead focus on supporting characters who will pay tribute to the late Boseman.
Producer Kevin Feige advised the following:
“Chadwick’s passing is absolutely devastating.”
“He was our T’Challa, our Black Panther, and our dear friend. Each time he stepped on set, he radiated charisma and joy, and each time he appeared on screen, he created something truly indelible. He embodied a lot of amazing people in his work, and nobody was better at bringing great men to life. He was as smart and kind and powerful and strong as any person he portrayed. Now he takes his place alongside them as an icon for the ages.”
Ryan Coogler will be returning to write and direct the sequel, which is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
I’ll keep you all updated on any new findings.
