I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I just found out about the passing of Zindzi Mandela. The following information comes from Africa News.

Zindzi Mandela, daughter of South Africa’s anti-apartheid activists Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela and Nomzamo Winnie Madikizela, passed away on July 13 at the age of 59. She was the co-founder of the Mandela Legacy Foundation and Managing Trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. Her burial took place on July 17 at the Fourways Memorial Park in Johannesburg, where she was laid to rest next to her mother.

Zondwa Mandela, Zindzi Mandela’s son, confirmed in a local media report that she tested positive for COVID-19 before her passing. But authorities have yet to discover if it was the initial cause of death.
