In a previous post, I highlighted the 50 Jamaican nationals who were being detained and deported back to Jamaica due to COVID-19. Well, I just came across some additional information.
The following is from the Jamaica Observer.
Arrangements are being made for nationals stranded in Europe to board a charter flight back home. Closing Jamaica’s air and seaports on March 24 left thousands of nationals overseas. But The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kamina Johnson Smith, advised that efforts are being made to bring them back. So far, the route home will go from Amsterdam to the Netherlands to London and then Jamaica.
