Coronavirus Updates

I’m going to keep conspiracy theories on the coronavirus to myself for now, because I’m still doing research. But I have been reading up on some updates. The following information comes from Newsfusion.

After the first death on U.S. soil, occurring in Washington State, President Donald Trump has advised that there is nothing to fear.

“We’ve taken the most aggressive actions to confront the coronavirus. Our country is prepared for any circumstance. There is no reason to panic at all.”

So far, the virus has hit 61 countries throughout the globe, killing a total of 2,900 people and infecting 86,000.

France recently canceled all gatherings of 5,000 people or more to contain the outbreak, which has affected 100 people throughout the country and killed 73.

Although the majority of the infections are in China, South Korea, Italy, and Iran are major hotspots for the virus.

  • 813 more patients have been confirmed to have the virus in South Korea, bringing its total to 3,150.
  • Italy’s infections exceed 1,000 and the death toll is currently 29.
  • The death toll in Iran has now jumped to 43.

The virus has also spread to Azerbaijan, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Qatar, and Ecuador.

WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus recently stated the following:

“We have now increased our assessment of the risk of spread and the risk of impact of COVID-19 to very high at global level.”
