“The Success of America is the Success of the Rest of the World”

That foolish statement was made by South African Billionaire Patrice Motsepe. The following information comes out of The South African and BBC News.

Patrice Motsepe has been in Davos, Switzerland, on behalf of South Africa, for the World Economic Forum. At the start of the meeting he advised the following:

“All we wanted to say is that Africa loves America, Africa loves you. It is very, very important. We want America to do well, we want you to do well, and the success of America is the success of the world.”

Although there was righteous outrage on social media, a Pew Research Center poll suggests that President Trump is popular in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. He’s garnered 65% support in Kenya, 58% in Nigeria, and 42% in South Africa. The conundrum, however, is that President Trump has been clear with his view of African countries by describing them as “sh*thole countries.” So why Patrice Motsepe came to this forum with Carmex and kneepads is beyond me.
