SOOFA Ranch Presents…Therapeutic Horseback Rides!!!

Mental health is defined as our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. How we as humans think, feel, act, handle stress, relate to others, and make choices all fall under this umbrella.

Receiving counseling (therapy) for mental health issues is extremely important, but it’s not one-dimensional; there are multifaceted ways to heal from trauma. And I came across a profound healing strategy that had to be shared on this blog.

SOOFA Ranch

Based in Palmetto, GA, SOOFA (Stretch Out On Faith Again) Ranch uses horseback rides as a means to help change people’s lives. Their programs include horseback riding lessons, trail rides, and equine assisted coaching. Each program helps children and adults overcome anxiety, build confidence, and become better communicators. They believe that a connection with horses will lead to a better connection with people.

The founder, Equine Assisted Coach & former Youth Pastor Daryl L. Fletcher, has over 40 years of experience working with horses. As a child, he developed his love for nature and horses on his grandparents’ farm. Learning agriculture, ranching, and valuable life lessons there helped shape him into the man he is today. And his desire to create a space for the young and old to learn how to handle anxiety, fear, and anger issues came to fruition through the building of SOOFA Ranch.
